link)- I don't understand what he's talking about. Like I said the first time, any suggestions are much appreciated. The only thing to be happy about is a validation of the question.
I did not read your links to rationalist judaism, so apologies if this is the answer offered there. There is a chiluk between how you relate to the ta'am hamitzvah in the philosophical sense vs. l'halacha how you formulate tefilah. (I think someone once told me this b'shem the Rav, but not sure).
